Phil here, I’m a United States Marine Veteran and one of the three founders of G.O.A.T. Trail Running, a non-profit organization dedicated to building community through trail running. As a race director, I find the greatest reward in bringing people together on the trails—where I value the relationships formed even more than the miles covered. I have a deep love for the outdoors, a strong commitment to charitable causes, and a genuine passion for hearing people’s stories.

While I’m not running trails as much as I’d like these days, I still feel most at home in the woods. Whether organizing events, exploring new routes, or cheering others on, I stay closely connected to the trail running community. I believe in the power of shared miles to heal, inspire, and bring people together. Whether it’s a long run or a quick walk with a new friend, I’m driven by purpose, connection, and the belief that everyone has a story worth hearing.

Hi, I’m Grant – My journey started not too long ago with a pair of running shoes and a love for the unknown. Whether it’s steep climbs, rocky descents, or just getting gloriously dirty, I live for the adventure that trail running brings.

What began as a personal passion quickly grew into something bigger – a desire to build a community where runners of all levels could connect, challenge themselves, and celebrate the grit and joy of the trail. That’s how G.O.A.T. Trail Running was born – not just a brand, but a movement fueled by dirt, sweat, and camaraderie.

Let’s hit the trails together.

Hey, I’m Dale and the old man of the group. I’m a Marine Veteran, a Dad of two adult children and a grandfather. Getting older is hard and not moving makes it harder. I woke up one day and decided enough was enough, so I started walking. Walking became running and lifting and HITT training. My idea of “Go Out and Thrive” is just keeping myself in motion and healthy. Sometimes it’s on a road, sometimes a mountain and sometimes a gym. But I try to make sure Garmin thinks I’m being productive. So, regardless how you train or what you do, just have fun and THRIVE.
